Haiti Disaster Relief Update

We are doing everything we can at Gleaning For The World to provide relief to the earthquake victims in Haiti. Thanks to your support, $2.4 million worth of medical supplies, food, baby products, and more have been flown in to the disaster areas. In the first few days after the quake, monetary donations were used to purchase and distribute 550,000 meals to the starving. Last week, four tractor-trailers loaded with medical supplies, food, baby supplies, and water were shipped to our partnering organization in Florida, which was airlifted to the group in Haiti.

In the next couple of weeks, $3.1 million of additional medical supplies, food, nutritional supplements, baby products, candles, and clothes are in the works to be flown or shipped to Haiti. Your prayers, donation of supplies and financial contributions are making this happen. Gleaning needs partnerships from people just like you to help these beautiful people. And because of Gleaning’s efficiency, your contribution will be multiplied 72 times. In addition – Gleaning will collect supplies and financial contributions at the following locations and times:

• Heritage Baptist Church | Lynchburg, VA | 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday in HBC book store entrance
• Advancing Native Missions | Afton, VA | Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Trinity Family Church | Roanoke, VA | Weekdays (Except Wednesday) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. AND Weekends from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
